As a founding director of RHI Executive Search, Christine "Chris" Pettingill specializes in executive and senior level searches. She has extensive experience in assisting companies build their senior leadership teams including hiring chief officer level leaders as well as senior level specialists across the spectrum of financial, sales and marketing, legal, technology, communications and HR functions. Her clients have included major companies in Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Manufacturing and Distribution, Government Contracting, Professional Services and Non-profits. Chris has clients for whom she has conducted searches nationally and internationally, as well as those who have required searches that target a very specific talent or geographic market. In her role as Group Managing Director, Chris manages the DC office of RHI Executive Search.
Experience
Prior to her search career, Chris had over 25 years of direct business experience in real estate development and finance, financial services, including insurance, mortgage banking and retail banking, healthcare and higher education. Her last corporate position was with Magellan Health Services as their EVP of Human Resources. Throughout her career, she has worked with executive teams to find people solutions to business problems. In these roles, she has dealt with major demands including: restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, new business start-ups, divestitures, venture capital investment, major systems implementations, and consolidation, centralization and decentralization of local systems and organizations.
Chris conducts searches throughout the United States and abroad. Many of her clients are international companies that operate multi-nationally
Personal and Professional Activities
Throughout her career, Chris has been involved in supporting or leading community and professional organizations. Professionally, she founded and coordinated the HR Executive Forum for the Baltimore/Washington, DC corridor and has been an advocate for professional development in the HR field. Her background of civic work has included such organizations as Hospice, Leadership at the county level, United Way and Concert Artists of Baltimore. Chris has served on the Board of Trustees of Howard County General Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, and was also an early member of the Board and Treasurer of Howard Community College Educational Foundation.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Business Economics from Utica College of Syracuse University
