Christine “Chris” Pettingill is a Managing Director specializing in senior level Human Resources (HR) searches. She has extensive experience in assisting companies build their senior HR leadership teams including hiring officer level generalist leaders as well as senior level specialists across the spectrum of HR functions. Her clients have included major companies in Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Consumer Products Manufacturing and Distribution, Professional Services and Non-Profits
Experience
Chris has over 25 years of business experience in higher education administration and corporate Human Resources. Her last corporate position was with Magellan Health Services as their EVP of Human Resources. Throughout her corporate and search careers, she has worked with executive teams to find people solutions to business problems. Her direct experience has spanned Finance, Insurance, Real Estate, Healthcare, Higher Education and Professional Services industries.
In these roles, she has dealt with major demands including: restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, new business start-ups, divestitures, new equity financial infusion, major systems implementations, and consolidation, centralization and decentralization of local systems and organizations.
In addition to Human Resources, Chris has served the full spectrum of functional sectors including Financial, Sales and Marketing, Technology, Operations, Legal and all C-Level leadership needs
Based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, Chris conducts searches throughout the continental United States
Personal and Professional Activities
Throughout her career, Chris has been involved in supporting or leading community and professional organizations. Professionally, she founded and coordinates the HR Executive Forum that serves the Baltimore/Washington, DC corridor and is a member of the HR Leadership Forum, the HR Planning Society and Society for Human Resources Management.
Her background of civic work has included such organizations as Hospice, Leadership at the county level, United Way and Concert Artists of Baltimore. Chris has served on the Board of Trustees of Howard County General Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, and has actively worked on fundraising for Anne Arundel Health System. She also was an early member of the Board of Howard Community College Educational Foundation, Howard County Hospice and Leadership Howard County.
Chris earned a BS in Business Economics from Utica College of Syracuse University. Back |
